Roughing cutter for aluminum machining
SPECIAL TOOL
Roughing cutters are a pre-machining tool. Why do they have such a large diameter? Aluminum is a hard material. The combination of this diameter, large blade inclination and characteristic teeth on the edge allows for quick and effective chip removal during the milling process. To further optimize their evacuation, the groove in the tools has been polished.
Rough milling of aluminum is usually performed at high rotational speeds and feeds. This is necessary so that the cutter can effectively remove material without overheating.
